Night Folk was inspired by the mischievous stories of Enid Blyton and composed in three short forest folk scenes or sketches - taking the mickey out of marching gnomes, riding Queen Caterpillar and delirious dancing within an enchanted ring.  Ensemble directors will appreciate elements of informed educational design including skilfully integrated lines, sharing of roles, careful choices of left-hand progression, balanced strokes, and a satisfying yet manageable length.  An imaginative and tuneful escapade!
